of the Tym Application for Customers

Welcome to Tym! These terms and conditions ("T&Cs") are a contract between you (a tattoo artist and/or studio) and us, Tym Limited. By creating an account and using our platform ("Platform"), you agree to these T&Cs and confirm that you're authorized to do so. Let’s keep things simple, clear, and fair—here’s what you need to know:

What We Do

Tym is here to make managing your tattoo business smoother—from enquiries to deposits to bookings. Our platform is designed to help you track your clients’ journeys with ease. Our system is free to use so as things stands there are no subscription fees you get access to all the great features described on our website.

Using the Platform

To get started with Tym, you'll need to register an account with accurate and up-to-date info. Once you're set up, you'll be able to install, display, and use the platform across your devices. Please keep your login details secure—we’re not responsible if your account is compromised.

While using Tym, there are a few things to avoid:

  1. Don’t modify or hack the platform in any way.
  2. Don’t upload viruses or malicious code.
  3. Don’t share your login details with anyone else (unless part of a studio plan).
  4. Don’t use the platform for unlawful or harmful activities.

We take privacy seriously. By using Tym, you agree that we’ll process client data, including any images you upload. It’s your responsibility to inform your clients about how you handle their data.

You remain in charge of your terms and policies, including refunds and cancellations. While we process deposits, final payments are handled directly by you. If needed, we reserve the right to disable accounts for T&C violations.

Subscription and Deposit Fees

We do not currently charge a monthly subscription fee, although all payments are securely processed through Stripe. Stripe charges transaction fees, and you’ll be responsible for any fees related to deposits, as things stands Stripes fees are 1.5% + 20p. Visit Stripe’s website for the latest fee info.

Our platform fee is a small 1.5% per deposit transaction, which helps cover some of our costs. This feature is completely optional, whilst the rest of Tym’s functionality remains free to use. You can also choose to pass this fee on to your clients if you prefer.

For example, on a £100 deposit payment, the estimated fees could be:

Platform fee paid by you:

Stripe fee: £1.70

Tym platform fee: £1.50

Total: £3.20

Platform fee paid by client:

Stripe fee: £1.70

Total: £1.70

Remember, deposit funds are held by Stripe for a few days before landing in your account. Tym doesn’t handle or hold your clients’ payments directly.

Cancellation

You’re free to cancel anytime. When you cancel, your account will be deactivated, and all data will be archived.

Updates and Changes

We may update the platform and these T&Cs from time to time to keep things running smoothly. If we make any major changes, we’ll notify you. By continuing to use Tym after any changes, you agree to the updated terms.

Liability

We’re here to help your business thrive, but we’re not liable for things like lost profits or indirect damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the value of your current subscription fee.

Other

If any part of these T&Cs is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else, but we may transfer ours if needed. These T&Cs are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by their courts.

End Client Acknowledgment

Tym is a platform to connect artists with clients, but we’re not responsible for any direct dealings between you and your clients. We’re also not responsible for the content of any third-party websites you might interact with through the platform.
